The Wedding Crasher's Tour

Earlier this month, we joined forces with a team of Richmond vendors for the Wedding Crashers Tour, a new take on the traditional wedding show. The idea behind this event is to give couples a more hands-on experience with wedding pros, instead of the typical "hi, bye!" that happens at bridal expos. In its 2nd year, the tour showcased three Richmond venues, coordinated and styled to the nines for a "real" wedding, allowing attendees to have an interactive (/delicious/inspirational) experience with wedding pros at each location. We were assigned to The Frontier Project, a new venue in Richmond's Scott's Addition neighborhood, whose industrial vibes & mid-century decor did a lot of the work for us, but still challenged us to soften the space & bring in a wedding day atmosphere.

Using our design's key words (like organic, soft, minimal, modern) & pops of yellow that we found throughout the space during our initial venue visit, we crafted this an organic twist on an industrial design. With Photosynthesis' florals bringing in soft touches of fluffy blush with bright pops of yellow bring to our neutral palette, she really brought an elegant shape to our very structured space with viney, organic florals. Our two spaces for "ceremony" & "reception" were brought together with Sue Corral Ink's perfectly modern & sweet design pieces, giving our guests an amazing map of the space & signage that left us trying to figure out how to incorporate a giant "DRINK HERE" signs into our own kitchens.

We are so grateful to the vendors that truly invested in our vision for this space & made this a truly inspirational event for the couples that attended the tour - & OF COURSE, all our love to Stephanie Yonce Photography for capturing the day! More industrial weddings, plz!
